Veldron Eugene Hannah, 102, of Bolckow, MO passed away on April 12, 2026 in Maryville, MO. He was born on February 16, 1924 to John Douglas and Clara Cawood Hannah in Cawood, MO.

After graduation from Rosendale High School, he joined the U.S. Merchant Marines, serving in the North Atlantic & the Pacific during WWII.

After returning home to Missouri, he found his true calling in farming and raising hogs and Angus cattle. He was a member of the Bolckow Christian Church and the American Legion Post #287 in Savannah.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Belvadene Fuller and brother John D. Hannah, Jr.

In his youth, he was very athletic, excelling at baseball. After marriage, the couple enjoyed square dancing and waterskiing (including stunts of barefoot skiing, multi skier pyramids and disc skiing). He helped teach numerous kids how to waterski. In his senior years he could be found cheering on family members driving red tractors at local tractor pulls, specifically "The Cawood Comet".

At age 89, he survived being run over by a tractor & mower, breaking body parts from head to toe. He will be missed by family and friends.

The family wishes to express appreciation for the kindness and care shown by the staff at Mosaic Hospital & Physical Therapy; Alyssa and the staff at Mosaic Hospice, the staff at Village Care Center, and to Carley, Lorie and Monica.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM Thursday, April 16, 2026 at the Heaton-Bowman-Smith Savannah Chapel. The Funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM. Interment with full military honors rendered by the American Legion Post 287 Honor Guard at Walnut Grove Cemetery, Bolckow, MO.
