Tadeusz "Ted" Bednarek, 77, of St. Joseph, passed away June 29, 2026. Ted was born November 29, 1948, in Poland to Wladislaw and Bronislawa Bednarek.

He graduated from Perth Amboy High School. He married Lynda Van Buren in 2007; and she preceded him in death . Also preceding him in death were his parents; sister Cazimira Bednarek; and son Craig David Bednarek.

He worked as a computer programmer for a number of years for Johnson & Johnson. He enjoyed swimming, and was known as a "Master Gardener".

Survivors include two daughters, Susan Bednarek, Cori (Bednarek) and Rob Major; grandchildren, Brayden Major, Kaylee Major, and Maggie Major; and sister Terry Konofol (Walter); other relatives and friends.

Ted has been cremated under the direction of Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel. There will be no services.
