Steve Stewart, 69, St. Joseph, Missouri; passed from his earthly home on Sunday, May 24, 2026.

Steve was born on December 15, 1956 in St. Joseph, Missouri to the late Thomas and Dorline (Wiedmaier) Stewart.  He was a lifelong resident and graduate of Central High School.

Steve made many friends throughout his working career from Wire Rope, Texaco, Altec, CarQuest and Leo Roberston.

In his spare time some of Steve's favorite things included working on classic cars, playing softball and was an avid Chiefs and Royals fan.

Steve married Kelly Stobbs on April 24, 1982.  They recently celebrated forty-four years of marriage, and to that union two daughters were born.  Steve was a devoted husband, loving father and a proud grandpa. He will be missed by all that knew and loved him.

Survivors include his wife, Kelly, of the home; two daughters, Mandy Stewart, St. Joseph, MO and Lindsey Wyble (Kevin), Kansas City, MO; grandson, Eli Wyble; brother, Lonnie Stewart (Juanita), St. Joseph, MO; brother-in-law, Larry Stobbs, Jr. (Karen), Savannah, MO and nieces, Jessica Stewart, Heather Rodgers and Rachel Stroud.

Mr. Stewart has been cremated under the direction of Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
