Shirley Ann Holmes, 87, of St. Joseph, MO passed away September 8, 2025.  Shirley was born September 21, 1937 in Easton, MO, to Vernon and Frances (Stewart) Pfleiderer.

She was a farmer, housewife and owned operated Holmes Feed Store.

Shirley married David Holmes on April 5, 1957 in St. Joseph and he preceded her in death on April 13, 2018.  Also preceding her in death were her parents, daughter Ronda Holmes, brother Vernon Pfliederer, Jr., and sister Sandra Farrell.

Survivors include her children, Brian Holmes (Cindy), Randy Holmes (Lou Ann), Brenda Farris, Amy Wilt (Randy); eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; brothers Lloyd Pfleiderer, Bill Pfleiderer (Marsha); sisters,  Sharon Puckett (Bud), Janie Findley; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She enjoyed gardening, farming, flowers, cooking and her family.

Services will be Saturday, September 13, 2025 at 11:00 am at Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel.  Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.  Visitation will begin at 10:00 am Saturday at the funeral home.
