Sharon Sue Steigerwalt (Willison), 72, of Gallatin, passed away peacefully Saturday, June 24, 2023 in her home.

Sharon was born February 18, 1951 in Scranton, Iowa to William Ashel and Beulah Deloris (Hupp) Willison. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents. Sharon took considerable pride in her beautiful home, yard, and garden. Sharon was a happy person who wanted the world to be a happy place. Sharon married the love of her life, Dennis Steigerwalt on July 4, 1971 in Nashua, Iowa. Dennis passed previously passed away on May 17, 2015. Sharon and Dennis lived in Gallatin since 1986 and were active members of the community.

Surviving family includes sons: Aaron (Kristy) of Raymore, Missouri, and Eric (Tanya) Steigerwalt of Sydney, Australia; grandchildren, Ruby and Ava; sisters: Linda and Karen; and brothers: Roger, Stanley, and Jeffrey.

Sharon has been cremated under the direction of Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel.

In accordance with her wishes, there will be no funeral or visitation; however, we welcome comments and fond memories as a tribute on the website. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Active Aging Resource Center in Gallatin, Missouri.
