Ruby Katherine (Kathy) Kobett,89, Saint Joseph, MO passed away peacefully March 12, 2025. A private graveside service will be held 11 am, Saturday, March 15, 2025 at Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Stewartsville, MO, under the direction of Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel.

Kathy was born May 29, 1935, in King City, Missouri and graduated from Clarksdale High School in the Class of 1953.

She worked at Beattie's grocery where she met Jim Kobett. Kathy and Jim were married on October 21, 1955. They celebrated sixty-two years of marriage.

She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Kathy loved spending time with and doting on all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was seen at many sporting and school events throughout the years cheering on her children and grandchildren.

Kathy was also known for her love of animals and had a special fondness for dogs and cats.

Kathy is preceded in death by husband, Jim Kobett. She is survived by son, Jim Kobett, daughter-in-law, Kimberly, St. Joseph, MO; daughter, Jane Smith (Terry), Kansas City, MO; five grandchildren, Alicia, Allison, Alexis, Kori and Kobe; and nine great-grandchildren.

The family requests no flowers.  Memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society of St. Joseph.
