Ronald Dean Carrington, 79, of St. Joseph, Missouri passed away on Saturday, December, 7th 2024 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

Ronald was born on December, 24th 1944 to the late Fay and Fern (Pike) Carrington in St. Joseph, Missouri.  He was a 1963 graduate of Lafayette High School.

Mr. Carrington proudly served his country in the US Army from 1964-1988, serving as a Military Medic for 24 years.

After retiring from the military, Ronald earned a BSN degree from Missouri Western State University, and continued his medical career as a Registered Nurse for several more years.

Ronald was united in marriage to Marva Wolfe on September, 21st 1964 in St. Joseph, Missouri. Together they were blessed with and raised their 3 children; son, David Carrington and daughters; Lisa Carrington and Amy Gongis.

Survivors of Ronald include his wife, Marva; sister, Brenda Mozingo; children, David Carrington, Lisa Carrington, and Amy Gongis and honorable grandson, Andrew Edwards.

Funeral Service 1:00 PM  Thursday, December, 12th 2024 at the Heaton-Bowman-Smith-Sidenfaden Chapel at 3609 Frederick Blvd. - St. Joseph, Missouri, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. Interment will follow with full military honors at the Agency Cemetery, in Agency, Missouri.

The family has requested memorial donations to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
