Pamela Sue Meeks, 75, of St. Joseph, Missouri passed away at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Pamela was born in St. Joseph on October 6th, 1950 to Annona Pauline and Leo Shanks, Jr. She graduated from Central High School. After graduation, Pamela worked various places in St. Joe before she began her 30 plus year career in banking.

Pamela was united in marriage to Robert Meeks on November 19th, 1971. The couple celebrated 42 years of marriage before his passing in early 2014.

Preceding Pamela in death are her parents, Anonna Pauline (Stevens) and Leo Shanks, Jr., husband, Robert Meeks, brother, Steven Shanks, sister, Kathryn Stains, and brother-in-law, Mark Munsell.

Pamela is survived by her sister, Barbara Munsell, nephew, Aaron Munsell, and numerous other family members and dear friends.

Funeral services for Pamela will be held on Saturday, June 27th, 2026 at 1:30 PM at Heaton-Bowman-Smith-Sidenfaden Chapel, with a visitation being held 30 minutes prior. Interment to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.

In lieu of floral arrangements, donors may direct memorial donations to a local no-kill animal shelter of their choice.
