Miles F. Stroud, 84, of St. Joseph, passed away Saturday, May 25th, at his home, surrounded by his family.  Born in St. Joseph, to parents LeRoy Stroud and Esther (Miles) Stroud, Miles graduated from Central High School and attended college at Northwest Missouri State and Missouri Western.  He worked at Woodson Psychiatric Hospital as a case manager as well as the St. Joseph School District and Meierhoffer Funeral Home.

Miles married Joyce Keller on September 29th, 1990.  He was dedicated to his family, home and acreage.  He loved his animals and classic cars of the 1940's.  He attended First Lutheran Church of St. Joseph.

Miles is preceded in death by his parents, LeRoy and Esther Stroud; his brother, George Wilson; and a son, Stephen Stroud.

Miles is survived by his wife, Joyce Stroud; children, Tracy (Mark) Dudley, Bowckow, Missouri; David Stroud, St Joseph, Missouri; Lori Anderson (Eric Moutray), Amazonia, Missouri; Pete Stroud, St Joseph, Missouri; Nicole (Randy) Kirschner, Charlotte, North Carolina; Bradley Schiermeyer, Wilson, Kansas; grandchildren, Hannah Dudley, Hallie Dudley, Jen Stroud, Daniel Stroud, Caleb Stroud, Ryan Anderson, Stephanie Stroud, Courtney Wilson, Lacy Stroud, Benjamin Kirschner, William Kirschner, Claire Schiermeyer, Chelsie Schiermeyer; and accumulating great grandchildren.

A private family service was held at his home on Memorial Day this year.
