Michael James "Mike" O'Meara, 74, of St. Joseph, MO, passed away September 17, 2026. Michael was born August 11, 1952, in St. Joseph, to William and Darlene (Lehman) O'Meara.

He was a graduate of Lafayette High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Prior to retirement he worked as a painter for GA Thompson and the St. Joseph School District. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Mike enjoyed going to the casino and hanging out with friends at the Brown Bear.

Survivors include brothers Terry, Kenny and Pat O'Meara, Jimmy Frans; sons Cory and Jason O'Meara, Gerald Salsbury; several grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

Preceding him in death were his parents and wife Jackie O'Meara.

Private services will be held at Mount Olivet Cemetery at a later date.
