Marlene Joy Nelson Gibson, peacefully went home to Jesus, Sunday, May 17, 2026 at her home on her family farm.

Born July 31,1959, in Jamestown, NY to Dewey F. and Virginia Ahlgren Nelson.

She spent the past 16 years in St Joseph/Savannah and worked at Gray Manufacturing with her 2nd family of co-workers who she dearly loved. She lived for the "Big Red G"

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Gary Nelson.

She is survived by her children, Paul (Lexi) Gibson, Kara Joy (Joe) Beacom, and grandchildren, Noah, Bentlie, Hailee, Summer, Aubri, Silas & Nora, sisters Trudy (Doug) Howles and Suzanne (Frank) Clark, as well as her two beloved hens, Ruth & Esther.

Marlene was cremated under the direction of Heaton-Bowman-Smith Savannah Chapel and a memorial service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, potted plants may be sent on her behalf to Heaton-Bowman-Smith Savannah Chapel so her memory can live on in the home she loved or memorials directed to Luminous Hospice for the wonderful care she provided in her last months.
