Marilyn Lee (Taylor) Powell passed from this life on Thursday, June 8, 2023 at Mosaic Life Care. She was born February 1st, 1932 in St. Joseph, MO to the late Clifford Taylor and Frances (Calvert) Taylor. She graduated from Savannah High School in 1950, and attended Gard Business University in St. Joe. She retired from the Andrew County Clerk's office in 1995 after 18 years of service.

She married William Powell on June 14, 1952. He passed away in 2008. She was also preceded in death by a son, Terry Powell, and a brother, Gary Taylor.

She is survived by her daughter, Tana Lance, daughter-in-law, Julie Powell, grandchildren Sierra (Aaron) Matthews, Sheena (Jason) Lance-Nold, Zachary Powell, and Sandy Lance; and great grandchildren Easton & Grayson Matthews, Savannah & Brody Nold, and Jaxon & Baker Powell.

She was a member of the Savannah United Methodist Church, American Legion Auxiliary, and Andrew County Museum. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the United Methodist Church or Andrew County Senior Center.

Celebration of Life to be held at Heaton-Bowman-Smith Savannah Chapel on Monday, June 12, 2023, at 3:00 PM. Visitation is 1 hour prior to service from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.  A private family inurnment will be held at the Savannah Cemetery at a later date.
