Margaret Tarwater was born in Parnell, MO on April 21, 1944, to Elmer and Iva Ellsworth. She left this life on January 16, 2024, at the home she loved.  Margaret was raised in Parnell and graduated from the local high school. She worked at Whitaker Cable for several years then 20-plus years at Quaker Oats until they permanently shut their doors. In her retirement years, she enjoyed bird watching, making different kinds of casseroles, working outside, and even helping to build their own homes with her husband Everett in their spare time.  She recently became an NFL fan when Patrick Mahomes began to play for the KC Chiefs. She is preceded in death by her parents, and her siblings, Donnie Wray, Violet Stallsworth, and Gene Ellsworth. She leaves her husband Everett Tarwater of 48 years, son James Leggans, (Cheryl), daughter Juanita Davison, and son Steven Leggans, 7 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, sister Sharon Ellison and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends 1:00 - 2:00 PM on Saturday at the Heaton~Bowman~Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel. Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 PM, also at our Chapel.

Interment at Mount Olivet Cemetery at a later date.
