Leigh Anna
Donelson
Jul 7, 1977 — Jul 18, 2026
Leigh Anna was born on July 7, 1977 in St. Joseph Mo. She was raised in New Rochelle, NY and moved back to the Midwest in 1994. She passed away on July 18,2026 after a brief illness. She was a kind and gentle soul who never met a stranger. Leigh Anna had fun with everything she did and shared her happiness with the world.
To call Leigh Anna a "special" person would be an understatement. While she was a successful Special Olympian in many sports, garnering dozens of medals in competitions and being named Athlete of the Year when she lived in Westchester County, New York, she was special to everybody who met her. She was a fierce competitor and an unforgettable personality. She had the true rock and roll spirit.
Leigh Anna had the uncanny ability to read and sum up people in less than five minutes. She did not suffer fools lightly. She was an independent thinker who had the confidence to take on everything life had to throw at her.
Despite her limitations, Leigh Anna made a lasting impression with everybody she met. She touched thousands of hearts just by being Leigh Anna. She was a unique personality.
Leigh Anna showed us what was possible, rather than what was predicted. She was a gift from God who showed us how to live and how to love.
Leigh Anna is pre-deceased by her mother Eileen Lamont and is survived by her father Dave Donelson (Nora), her brother Jeremy Donelson (Amy), her nephew Stephen, her step father Charles Lamont, a very special friend Nancy Sachen, her uncle Dan Poolman and numerous cousins.
