Larry Wayne Archer, 81, of St. Joseph, MO, passed away May 30, 2026 at his home surrounded by his loving family.  Larry was born August 1, 1944 in Kansas City, MO, to Wm K. and Barbara (Plymell) Archer.

Larry was a graduate of Central High School and attended Missouri Western State University.  He retired after 50 years of service from AG-Affiliated Foods as a Perishable Supervisor.

He married Kathryn Conley on February 24, 1990 in St. Joseph, and she survives.  Also surviving are son Wm K. Archer; son Michael Archer (Val); daughter Christy Stopher (Joe); son Benjamin Israel (Jamie); daughter Sarah Bright (Ben); son Jimmy Israel (Kara); 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and brother Ted Archer.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Robert and Kenny Mike.

He was a member of Huffman Memorial Methodist Church;  Masonic Lodge #189 and Eagles.  He loved westerns, history, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Larry has been cremated under the direction of Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel.  Celebration of Life will be at a later date.
