Kathryn “Kathy” L. (Clegg) Nordstrom, 79, of St. Joseph, Missouri, peacefully passed away on August 3, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. Kathy was born on February 9, 1947, in Miles City, Montana to Robert and Kathleen (Maple) Clegg. She graduated from Cainsville High School in 1965 and went on to build a life centered on faith, family, friendship, and service to others.

Kathy shared a beautiful life with her beloved husband Herman. Together, they built a loving home and enjoyed more than 30 years of marriage. Family was the center of Kathy’s world and she took great pride in the lives and accomplishments of those she loved.

She is survived by her children, Michelle, Troy, Chris, and Randy (Natasha); grandchildren, Traejun, Payton (Tessa), Randy (Trinity), Abigail and Trinity; Great grandchildren, Onyx and Cooper; sister, Karen (Ed); and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends.

Kathy dedicated more than 50 years of her life to her work as a hairdresser. She had a remarkable gift for helping people look and feel beautiful both inside and out. Her chair was a place of friendship, laughter, and comfort. Countless clients became lifelong friends that she enjoyed sharing time with. Kathy’s warm smile, kind heart, and contagious laugh brightened the lives of everyone who knew her.

Outside of her work, Kathy found joy in gardening, planting and caring for flowers. Her flowers reflected the beauty, patience, and nurturing spirit she carried throughout her life. Whether tending her blooms, spending time with family, or sharing stories with friends, Kathy embraced each day with grace and gratitude.

Kathy will be remembered for her loving heart, unwavering devotion to her family, and the kindness she extended to everyone she met. Her legacy lives on in the many lives she touched and in the cherished memories held by those who loved her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered!
