Katherine Sue Ruff, 84 of St. Joseph, formerly of Fountain Grove, MO, passed away August 16, 2026.

Katherine was born December 7, 1941, in Linn County, MO to James A. and Jessie L. (Bailey) Jacobs. She married David L. Ruff on October 2, 1964, in Shawnee, KS.

She was a member of the Meadville United Methodist Church and retired from Waldsworth Publishing in Brookfield, MO.

Survivors include her children John D. Ruff (Shellie) of Fountain Grove, MO, Donna S. Henman (Ryan) of St. Joseph; grandchildren, Damon Ruff (Stephanie Alterauge) of Chillicothe, MO, Kaci Ruff (Zachary Stoll) of Kansas City, MO, Jacob (Cheyenne Walker) Henman of Savannah, MO, Mackenzie Henman of St. Joseph; great-grandchildren Austin, Kouvr, Rylie; brother Jimmy "Butch" Jacobs (Mary Sue); numerous nieces and nephews and friends.

Katherine was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brother Marvin L. Jacobs.

Memorial contributions would be appreciated to the Rickett Cemetery.

Services will be Saturday, August 22, 2026 at 11:00 am at the Meadville Community Center, Meadville, MO. Visitation will precede the service beginning at 10:00 am.
