Jolene would brighten up every room she walked into and people couldn’t help but gravitate towards her. Her Bright smile, kindness to everyone and her loving, wonderful energy was truly something special. She lived a wonderful exciting life with her husband Fred, the Love of her life. Their Love for each other is truly immeasurable. They Married Aug. 14th 1971 and were just one day shy of 55 years of marriage but they’ve known and liked each other for 61 years. She loved to tell their story that they Knew each other in grade school, Liked each other in Jr. High and Fell in love in High school. They’ve been inseparable ever since.
She attended Webster grade school and graduated from Lafayette high school in 1971.

Through the years together they raised two children with fond memories of summers camping and boating. When Fred started golfing she jumped right in and decided she was golfing too, and when Fred decided he wanted to buy a Harley and start riding she said “Oh Boy guess I’m gonna be a Harley momma”. She loved it, eventually rode her own Harley, joined the Local Harley Chapter and drove her Harley with Fred all the way to Sturgis bike rally. They took a month long Harley trip up the west Coast then decided to move to Florida’s Panama City Beach to retire where they lived for several years. Eventually she told Fred she was too far away from her family and grandkids so they moved back home to St. Joseph.
Jolene was proceeded in death by her Mom & Dad, Virginia and Joseph Hoffman and brother Michael Hoffman. Her In-laws Betty and Galen Marshall and son-in-law Chris Caraway.
She is survived by her husband, Fred and children, Melanie Caraway and Ryan & wife Lexi Marshall.

She is also survived by her sister, Sherry Fobair and brother Joseph Hoffman. All her extended brothers and sisters of the Marshall family Bo & Arlene, Paul & Mona, Greg & Tina, Missy ( Marshall ) McDonald, & David and Lori along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Jolene was diagnosed with Lewy body dementia and fought hard for 3 years. She passed away peacefully with Fred at her side in their home.
