John was born August 10, 1949 to Mary C. and John E. Comella. He graduated from Christian Brother's High School. John enjoyed attending RRT productions, spending time with friends and family. Due to his disability he was limited to what he could do, but he made many friends and enjoyed every minute given him.

John was preceded in death by his parents, twin brother Joe, brothers Phillip and Michael Comella, sisters Judy Comella, Marguerite Conley. He is survived by brother Stephen Comella, sisters Mary Ellen Mears and Kathy Comella, plus numerous nieces and nephews.

Service is on October 14, 2023, at St. Mary's Church at 10:00 AM. Followed by burial at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
