Guy Stanley Crabill II, 95, of St. Joseph, passed away December 8, 2023.  He was born January 1, 1928 in Maysville to Guy Stanley and Opal (Dehart) Crabill.

Stanley served his country honorably in the United States Army Air Forces; receiving an honorable discharge.  He worked as a signalman for the Burlington-Northern Railroad; retiring in 1988 after 36 years of service.

He married Helen Brown on December 9, 1949, and she survives.  Also surviving are two sons, Guy S. Crabill III, Mark K. Crabill (Sandra); three grandchildren Wyatt Crabill (Debbie) , Melissa Bratton (Scott), Michelle Toelle (Anthony); five great-grandchildren, Devin Butzin, Trevor Crabill, Keely Peterson, Kylee Peterson, Olivia Bratton; other relatives and friends.

Preceding him in death were his parents; granddaughter Ashley Duncan; five sisters Erna Lee Owen, Martha  Crabill, Wilma Schilling, Mae Harlan, and Jean Waltemath.

Stanley  was a member of Wyatt Park Baptist Church, where he was a former deacon.  When he was younger he loved to fish.  He was an avid dog lover and loved to read.

Services will be Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at 12:00 noon at Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel.  Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.  Visitation will precede the service beginning at 11:00 am at the funeral home.
