Daniel Bunch, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and devoted family man, passed away peacefully while receiving hospice care on October 16, 2026, following a battle with brain cancer. He leaves behind a family who will forever cherish his memory and the love he shared.
Born on April 25, 1964, to Carole Nelson and James Bunch, Dan built a life centered on the people and things he loved most. He married his beloved wife, Dawn, on May 5, 1985, and together they raised their two sons, Kevin and Cody, who brought him immense pride and joy.
Throughout his working years, Dan worked for Missouri American Water, Nash Gas, and ETS, where he dedicated his time and talents.
Dan’s greatest happiness came from his family, especially cheering on his grandchildren at their sporting events and watching them grow. Outside of family, one of his greatest passions was riding his Harley-Davidson, where the freedom of the open road brought him a special kind of joy.
Dan was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Dawn Bunch; his parents; and his brother, Jimbo.
He is survived by his sons, Kevin Bunch and Cody Bunch (Morgan); his cherished grandchildren, Lainey, Asher, and Landon; and many other family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
A visitation will be held Saturday, October 24th, 2026 starting at 1:00 to 3:00 PM at Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor Dan’s memory are invited to contribute toward the future of his beloved grandchildren, Lainey, Asher, and Landon, continuing the love and devotion he held for them.
Dan’s legacy lives on through the family he cherished, the memories they will carry with them, and the miles still waiting to be traveled on the open road.
Ride free, Dan. Until we meet again.
