Carol Ann
Davis
Aug 6, 1941 — Jun 27, 2026
Carol Ann Davis, 84, of St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by the love of a lifetime of family and memories.
Carol was born in August 1941 and grew up on a farm where she learned the values of faith, hard work, family, and serving others. She often shared stories of helping her grandmother bake bread, gathering eggs with her sister, and growing up in a one-room schoolhouse. Those memories remained close to her heart throughout her life.
Carol married the love of her life, William “Bill” Davis, and together they built a family centered on love, laughter, and perseverance. Although Bill, along with their beloved sons Mark and Eddie, preceded her in death, the love they shared never left her heart.
She was also preceded in death by her parents.
Carol is survived by her daughters, Susan Keller and husband Kevin, Penney Adams and husband Rick, and Vickie Davis.
She leaves behind a loving legacy through her grandchildren: Ryan, Sara, Cindy, Blake, Bradley, Matthew, Ryan, Christopher, Veronica, Sarah, Renee, and Jill, along with 27 cherished great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her endless joy.
Carol dedicated much of her life to caring for others. She proudly owned and operated Carol Ann’s Cafe for 18 years before serving her community as a cook at John Glenn Elementary School for 14 years. She later spent 18 years at Adams Bar & Grill, where she was known for preparing meals with care and making sure everyone was well fed.
Nothing made Carol happier than spending time with her family. She loved holidays, Sunday dinners, family gatherings, and cheering from the sidelines at her grandchildren’s and great-grandchildren’s sporting events and activities. Her home was a place where everyone felt welcome, where meals were shared, stories were told, and memories were made.
Carol had a joyful spirit and wasn’t afraid to have fun. Whether it was celebrating her 80th birthday riding a four-wheeler or simply laughing around the dinner table with those she loved, she reminded everyone that life was meant to be enjoyed.
Her family finds comfort knowing she has been reunited with her beloved husband Bill and her sons, Mark and Eddie.
Carol’s greatest accomplishment wasn’t found in the jobs she worked or the years she lived—it was the family she loved so deeply and the legacy she leaves behind. Her kindness, strength, generosity, and unconditional love will continue to live on through every generation that follows.
She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever carried in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Visitation and a Celebration of Life will be held Thursday July 2nd from 5-7 pm at Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel, 3609 Frederick Avenue, St. Joseph, Missouri 64506.
